BABA VII - Race Around Hart Miller Island

There was a protest on the method I scored the Hart Miller race. Since no one in the B & C fleets finished, everyone was given a DNF and 1 point. Rule 35 of The RACING RULES of SAILING for 2001–2004 states that "If no boat finishes within the time limit, the race committee shall abandon the race". Since none of the B/C-Fleet racers finished, the race should have been scored as if it was abandoned. The season score sheet has been updated. It will still count for the season requirement of participating in five events. Sorry for the confusion.
